How Gang Sheeting Can Reduce Transfer Costs
A gang sheet combines several designs on one piece of transfer film. The amount you save depends on the artwork, quantity, usable width, layout length and per-sheet minimum. There is no reliable fixed savings percentage for every order.
Start With Printable Width and Finished Artwork
Our 13-inch and 17-inch apparel DTF builders use 12.25 and 16.25 inches of printable width respectively. Trim unwanted transparent borders and enter each design at its finished print size before comparing layouts.

Worked Pricing Example: Compare Like With Like
For a 22-inch-long apparel DTF sheet, the current 13-inch rate is CAD $0.36 per linear inch, giving a total of CAD $10.00 after the per-sheet minimum. The 17-inch rate is CAD $0.47, giving CAD $10.34 for the same length. Tax and shipping are extra.
Equal lengths do not necessarily hold equal quantities. Compare the exact number and size of transfers in each preview. Divide the final transfer price by the number of usable transfers to compare cost per print. Keep garment, labour, packaging and shipping costs separate.
Improve the Layout Before Ordering
- Trim empty transparent space so layout dimensions describe the artwork.
- Mix smaller logos with larger designs where the preview leaves usable space.
- Confirm every size and quantity; allow enough room to cut each transfer cleanly.
- Compare the 13-inch builder with the 17-inch builder when your largest artwork fits both.
- Review the completed preview before checkout; a nesting tool does not guarantee a particular utilization rate.
Check the File, Not Just Its DPI Label
Choose adequate pixel dimensions at the final print size. A 1200-pixel-wide file gives 300 DPI at four inches wide, or 150 DPI at eight inches. See the transparent PNG and 300-DPI guide for worked examples.
Confirm Your Total Before Paying
Use the builder's final dimensions and price, then check tax, shipping or pickup at checkout. For event deadlines, production is within two business days; carrier transit is additional and depends on the destination and selected service.
